It’s true, Roku is removing all private channels, including adult channels, from Roku devices. But you can still stream porn to your TV using an Amazon Fire TV Stick or other Fire TV device. (If you don’t have one already, Fire TV Sticks start at only $40.) Installing porn apps on your Fire TV is easy, although it will take just a bit of time to set up your device. But don’t worry, we have step-by-step directions below, so you’ll be back to streaming and wanking before you know it.
Like Roku, Amazon does not allow adult content in it’s public app store. Amazon does, however, allow you to download and install apps that are not listed in the app store. This is all done through the Fire TV Stick and doesn’t require any programming or technical skill whatsoever. And the use of unlisted apps is perfectly legal as long as you’re installing apps from legitimate porn purveyors such as those that we review here on AdultStreamingTV.com.
To enable your Fire TV Stick for unlisted adult apps, follow the steps below.
How to Install Streaming Porn Apps on Fire TV Sticks
To set up your Fire TV for the installation of adult streaming apps, you will need to first install a free app called Downloader, then change a couple of your Fire TV Stick settings. The following instructions are based on the current Fire TV operating system version, FireTV OS 7. If you have an older Fire TV device, these steps are basically the same but the location of the various settings may be a bit different.
- From your device’s home screen, select Find, then Search.
- On the search screen, start typing the app name Downloader, then select it from the search results.
- Again select Downloader under Apps & Games on the next screen.
- Select Allow when you are asked whether to allow Downloader to access files on your device.
- Return to your Fire TV home screen and select Settings, then My Fire TV.
- On the My Fire TV screen, select Developer options, then Install unknown apps, then click on Downloader to change the setting to On.
Your Fire TV is now ready for you to install unlisted apps! You won’t have to go through the above setup process again unless you remove the Downloader app from your Fire TV. When you find a new adult streaming channel or app that you want to install, just follow these instructions:
- Open Downloader from your Fire TV app menu and stay on the Home screen.
- Enter the URL of the unlisted app you want to install (we provide these in our app-specific pages on AdultStreamingTV.com) and select Go. A status popup will show the app connecting and downloading.
- Select Install when asked if you want to install the application.
- When the screen shows that the app is installed, you can return to your Fire TV home screen where the app will be listed with all of your other apps. Just open it like any other app. If the app is for a subscription service, you will be prompted to log in or to connect the app to your account for that service.
